All kids' models use CloudTec® cushioning elements calibrated to activate at lower body weights than adult equivalents. The configuration varies by model — Cloud Play and Cloudleap use a heel-to-midfoot pod arrangement; Cloud Sky and Cloudswift extend cushioning zones further forward.
Outsole width is increased across the kids' range relative to adult proportions. Flex grooves are more numerous and deeper, reducing rigidity through the forefoot. This is consistent across junior and youth sizing within each model.
SpeedBoard® plates in kids' models use an extra-soft TPU flex profile. Cloud Sky and Cloudswift include full-length SpeedBoard® integration. Cloud Play and Cloudleap use abbreviated plate configurations concentrated in the midfoot.
Upper construction across the range uses engineered mesh with reinforced overlays at high-wear zones. Toe caps are rubberised on all models. Heel counters are structured but lower-profile than adult equivalents.
Lacing systems vary by model. Cloud Play uses a no-tie elastic lacing system. Cloudleap and Cloud Sky use speed-lace toggle closures. Cloudswift uses traditional lacing with reinforced eyelets. Cloudhero Waterproof uses single-pull speed lacing with a lace garage.
Cloudhero Waterproof models use a 100% recycled waterproof membrane bonded to the upper interior. Seam sealing is applied at all stitch points.
Outsoles on Cloudhero models use Missiongrip™ rubber compound with a multi-directional lug pattern. Mid-height collar construction extends above the ankle with padded lining. Tongue is gusseted to prevent debris ingress.
Midsole foam across the kids' range uses Helion™ compound — the same EVA-based superfoam as adult models. Volume is scaled to shoe size.
Remove insoles after each wear. Air-dry at room temperature away from direct heat sources. Clean exterior surfaces with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Do not machine wash. Do not tumble dry. Heat exposure degrades foam cell structure and adhesive bonding.
Waterproof membrane performance on Cloudhero models degrades over time. Reapply spray-on DWR treatment when water no longer beads on the upper surface.
