What makes Berghaus waterproofs different?
Berghaus uses multiple waterproofing systems depending on the garment. GORE-TEX® is their premium membrane — fully waterproof, windproof and highly breathable. Hydroshell® is Berghaus's proprietary fabric that delivers strong waterproof performance at a lower price point. Both require a functioning DWR (durable water repellent) coating, which should be reactivated with tumble-dry heat after washing.
Is Berghaus good for everyday wear or only outdoor activities?
Both. The heritage fleeces and Wavertree-style jackets work perfectly as everyday outerwear. Technical pieces like the Prism Guide and Trawden Hybrid Jacket are built for layering systems on serious terrain. Berghaus tracksuit sets and t-shirts are designed for training and active casual wear.
How does Berghaus sizing compare to other brands?
