The Regulator™ System
The Regulator™ membrane is UBR's proprietary weatherproofing technology. This dynamic membrane delivers 20,000mm waterproofing—enough to withstand sustained heavy rain—combined with 20,000g/24h breathability. Unlike many technical membranes that crackle and stiffen in cold, Regulator™ remains silent and flexible, moving naturally with the body. The membrane is 100% windproof and paired with DWR (durable water repellent) coating that causes moisture to bead and roll off the outer fabric.
Regulator™ 4-Way Stretch construction allows natural movement in all directions—vertical, horizontal, and diagonal—while maintaining weatherproof integrity and structured silhouette. Traditional waterproof fabrics restrict movement; UBR's stretch-integrated shell fabric provides athletic flexibility without compromising protection or tailored appearance.
Insulation Technologies
UBR uses two primary insulation systems. White Heat™ is UBR's patented down construction that weaves premium goose down into sealed channels, eliminating external baffle stitching entirely. Traditional down jackets use baffles that create cold spots where stitching penetrates both layers. White Heat™ prevents cold spots at stitch lines, down migration and leakage over time, and quilted bulk that compromises tailored silhouette. All down meets Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certification.
PrimaLoft® Innovation insulation appears in styles requiring synthetic warmth. This material retains approximately 98% of warmth even when saturated, making it suited to wet conditions where down would lose performance. PrimaLoft® also enables slimmer silhouettes, which UBR uses to create tailored business coats with genuine thermal protection.
Construction & Hardware
UBR garments feature Black OPS™ YKK Grade hardware—military-grade components ensuring durability. Many styles use two-way YKK Vision zippers that allow venting from the bottom while keeping the chest closed. Autolock™ mechanisms prevent sliders from dropping under their own weight.
Automagnetix™ closure systems use powerful rare-earth magnets hidden within the storm flap, providing automatic, seamless closure. The system is faster and more intuitive than snaps or velcro, with no exposed hardware to catch, break, or freeze. In freezing conditions when gloved hands struggle with zippers, the magnetic closure is effortless.
Weights range from approximately 280g (Sonic ultralight down) to 1,100g (Titan full-length insulated parka).
Fit & Sizing
UBR follows Scandinavian tailoring principles—slim, flexible silhouette engineered specifically to layer over blazers and business shirts. Fits run true to size for a tailored, modern profile. Do not size down—the fit is precise and deliberate. Size up if layering over suit jackets, thick jumpers, or if you prefer a relaxed fit. Shorter models with bomber proportions have less layering room. The Regulator™ 4-way stretch eliminates stiffness while maintaining structure.
Care & Longevity
Close all zippers and magnetic closures before washing. Wash at 30°C on gentle cycle using technical wash—never fabric softener, bleach, or powder detergent. Never dry clean. Tumble dry on low heat to reactivate DWR coating. For down models, add 2-3 clean tennis balls to dryer to restore loft. Down must be completely dry before storage.
If water stops beading on the outer surface, DWR needs reactivation. First attempt: wash jacket, then tumble dry on low—heat often reactivates dormant DWR. If still wetting out, apply spray-on DWR treatment (Nikwax TX.Direct), then heat-activate with dryer.
