Sandbanks is a carbon-neutral and climate-positive brand that offsets its carbon emissions using Ecologi at every stage of the garment journey, from design to customer. Furthermore, Sandbanks has a zero real fur and down policy.
Led by creative director Sam Harman and managing director Wayne Collins, the Sandbanks clothing line was initially launched in 2019 in Dorset.
Harman and Collins, both locals in the Dorset area, chose to name the brand Sandbanks as a conscious decision. They wanted to draw attention to the natural beauty of the location, which is threatened by rising sea levels, as well as to reflect the high values and aspirations of the local community.
Due to Sandbanks zero real fur and real down policy, they use faux fur supplied by EcoPel which holds the PETA World Free Fur Awards and the Global Recycled Standard Independent certification. EcoDown is used to insulate Sandbanks jackets for warmth. EcoDown is a certified 100% recycled and durable down alternative and holds the Global Recycled Standard and is Oeko-Tex certified for the abence of harmful substances.
Sandbanks has quickly become adopted by many celebrities due to the brands luxury feel. Celebrities such as Michelle Keegan, Tyson Fury, Steven Gerrard, Micah Richards and Maya Jama have all been spotted wearing the brands much loved winter jackets with Jamie Redknapp often spotted during football punditry on Sky Sports.
