The current women's knitwear range features Gran Sasso and Sweaty Betty. Gran Sasso is an Italian fine-knitwear specialist working in natural fibres including merino wool, cashmere blends and lambswool. Sweaty Betty brings technical stretch-knit styles suited to an active lifestyle. The range is curated for quality over volume.
Merino wool comes from Merino sheep and has a significantly finer fibre diameter than standard lamb's wool — typically under 20 microns, compared to 30+ microns for regular wool. This finer diameter means merino sits directly against the skin without the itch associated with coarser wools. It also has superior temperature regulation, wicking properties and odour resistance. Gran Sasso's fine-knit pieces use these premium natural fibres throughout.
Natural-fibre fine knits should be hand-washed in cool water with a specialist wool detergent or machine-washed on a wool/delicate cycle at 30°C. Never tumble dry — heat and agitation cause wool fibres to felt and shrink irreversibly. Lay flat to dry, reshaping while damp. Store folded rather than hanging to prevent the shoulders stretching under the weight of the garment.
