About Vivienne Westwood Watches

What movement do Vivienne Westwood watches use?

Vivienne Westwood watches use quartz movement — battery-powered, accurate, and low-maintenance. These are fashion watches rather than mechanical timepieces; the design and brand aesthetic take priority over horological specification. Battery replacement is available at any watch servicing shop.

What strap options are available?

Vivienne Westwood watches come on leather straps (in black, tan, and other colourways), stainless steel mesh straps, and metal link bracelets depending on the model. Strap material and case size are detailed on each individual product page. Most models use standard lug widths compatible with third-party strap replacements.

Are the cases gold or gold-plated?

Watch cases in the Vivienne Westwood range are gold-tone or silver-tone stainless steel — not solid gold. Gold-tone refers to a yellow PVD or plated finish over stainless steel. This is standard practice in fashion watches at this price range.

What is the Orb on the watch dial?

The Orb is Vivienne Westwood's signature logo — a globe ringed by Saturn with a cross at the top. On watch dials it typically sits at the 12 o'clock position or at the centre of the dial, replacing conventional brand text with the recognised symbol.
