About Belstaff Knitwear
What wool does Belstaff use in knitwear?
Belstaff knitwear uses premium wool and merino blends. Chunky cable constructions typically use pure Shetland-style wool or a heavy wool-mix for insulation and texture. Finer-weight sweaters use merino wool, which is naturally soft against skin, temperature-regulating, and lighter for transitional weather.
How do I wash Belstaff knitwear?
Hand wash in cold water with a wool-specific detergent, or machine wash on a delicate or wool cycle at 30°C. Never tumble dry — this will shrink and felt the fibres permanently. Lay the garment flat on a towel to dry in its natural shape. Store folded, not hung, to prevent the shoulders from distorting.
Does Belstaff knitwear fit true to size?
Yes. Belstaff knitwear uses European sizing and runs true to size. Chunky cable knits have a relaxed drape by construction — this is intentional, not oversizing. Finer merino options are cut slightly closer. If you are between sizes, size up on cable knits and stay true to size on merino.
