If you’re a fan of ‘mini-me’ dressing, this is the collection for you. Kids Balmain was first introduced in 2017 by the brand’s creative director, Olivier Rousteing. Having been repeatedly asked by style-conscious mums and dads to create a children’s line, he finally gave in to their requests – and released a smaller version of styles seen in his men’s and women’s collection.
Olivier is one in a long line of designers to work for this legendary label. Since taking over the reins in 2011, he has relied on the brand’s archives for inspiration and stuck to its signature style. But he’s also managed to add his own contemporary touch. Kids Balmain clothing is both decadent and modern – and, as a result it has successfully attracted a new younger audience to the #BalmainArmy.
Expect an adorable line-up of miniature styles – including everything from the brand’s signature double-breasted blazer to logo-print basics and off-duty (or off-school!) staples. All designs come in a clean, monochrome palette and feature contrasting pops of bright pink and green throughout. Kids Balmain is edgy and sharp and meets the incredibly high standards of this luxurious Parisian brand.
We’re a fan of the long-standing designer brands, here at OD’s. Particularly those founded many moons ago, yet still at the forefront of the industry. We also love the ‘mini-me’ look. Which is why, as part of our kids designer department, we had to introduce the kids Balmain collection.
Now available both online and in-store, we have many of the brand’s latest offerings – including sweatshirts, hoodies and tracksuits for both boys and girls. These are scaled-down versions of styles found in the adult collection. They come in the full range of children’s sizes and offer the perfect balance of style, quality and craftsmanship.
